libsctp1 software package provides user-space access to Linux Kernel SCTP - shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsctp1
libsctp1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsctp1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsctp1 *
You will get with libsctp1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
